Dear Parents/Guardians, Students and Community Members,
March is Literacy Month. Our school will hold a Read Aloud Day on Wednesday, March 6. First Lady Dawn Ige will be a featured guest. Former Mayor Peter Carlisle and Former Police Chief Boise Correira will join Mrs. Ige and other guests who will share their love of reading books and talk about their careers. During the month, our PTA will hold their General Membership Meeting and Scholastic Book Fair Night on Wednesday, March 13. A Science presentation will be held during the evening event. A Read-A-Thon challenge will be sponsored by the PTA. Students may participate in the Read-A-Thon program over the Spring Break (March 18-22). Let's support our students as they participate in the event.
A reminder a Geographic Exception Form may be submitted through March 1. A Geographic Exception is a request to attend a school out of a student's geographic area. A lottery will be held the first week of April. Parents/guardians will be informed if their child has been accepted or placed on a wait list.
Have a Wonderful Spring Break!
